Choosing a Container Condition
Prepare a clear container inquiry by distinguishing one-trip, cargo-worthy and as-is condition descriptions.
Start with your intended use
Tell our team whether the container is intended for transport, storage or modification, and which condition criteria matter to you. A commercial condition label is a starting description; the written offer and agreed inspection or acceptance terms define the transaction.
One-trip, cargo-worthy and as-is
One-trip commonly describes a container used for an initial cargo journey; do not assume it is unused or cosmetically perfect. Cargo-worthy describes a condition category and should not be treated as proof of every required certificate or suitability for a specific shipment. As-is listings require particular attention to disclosed defects and acceptance terms.
Ask for the evidence relevant to the unit
Request photographs, specification details and any required inspection or certification information. Confirm whether photographs show the offered unit or are examples of the condition category. State explicitly if substitutions in condition, age, color or configuration are unacceptable.
